Wallenstam secures land allocation in central Gothenburg

At the real estate committee meeting on February 6, a land allocation was approved for Wallenstam concerning a property on Smålandsgatan in central Gothenburg. The property is currently utilized by Ullevi Tennis Club and in the future will be able to make way for apartments, offices, retail space, restaurants and tennis courts.

Two years ago, the real estate office submitted a zoning change application to the town planning department. The intention is to build more offices on the business side that have started to emerge around Ullevi, but also to create a broader use, which apart from tennis will include apartments and different types of business activities.

“We appreciate the confidence that the municipality has placed in us through this land allocation. Apart from ensuring a modern tennis center, we estimate a potential volume of about 17,000 square meters divided into apartments, offices, retail space and restaurants. We are now looking forward to the start of the zoning plan work,” says Thomas Dahl, Vice CEO of Wallenstam.
