Dirk Meissner appointed as new Managing Director for Investment Management. He assumed his new position on 1 April 2021, and has in this role been responsible for the Investment Management unit. Michael Krzyzanek, who had preceded him in this role since January 2019, left the senior management for family reasons as of 31 March 2021.
Dirk Meissner (50) has served in senior positions in the real estate industry for more than 20 years. Between 2011 and 2020, he worked for the ZBI Group, initially as member of the management board of ZBI Zentral Boden Immobilien AG, responsible for property management, and next as CEO of ZBI Fondsmanagement AG, the AIF management arm of the ZBI Group. Prior career stints included senior positions at Grainger Deutschland GmbH and Dr. Lübke GmbH. As Managing Director for Investment Management at Deutsche Investment KVG, Meissner is now in charge of the units Fund Management, Asset Management, Equity Investment Management and Treasury/Finance.
“Over the past two years, Michael Krzyzanek helped Deutsche Investment push forward along its growth trajectory, and I should like to take the opportunity to thank him cordially for his dedication and the always trust-based collaboration. In Dirk Meissner, we are gaining a seasoned expert from the field of institutional real estate investments: He brings a high level of expertise for the residential asset class and long-term experience with the regulatory challenges facing an AIF management company to the job, and he also has a keen sense for the requirements of institutional investors,” said Enver Büyükarslan, the main shareholder of Deutsche Investment KVG.
