BMO Real Estate Partners expands with two new appointments

BMO Real Estate Partners has appointed Kenneth Yuen as an Analyst in its investment management team, and Dan Walsgrove as a Retail Asset Manager. Yuen, who will report directly to Richard Kirby, Director, Property Funds, will support the investment team and will be responsible for the analysis of acquisition opportunities for various BMO REP client mandates as well as single asset opportunities for the wider BMO Global Asset Management distribution teams. In line with the wider business' strategy, Yuen will be focused on Core/Core+ investment strategies.

Yuen joins BMO REP from Sisu Advisors Ltd, where he worked with the wider investment team, building and maintaining an investment pipeline system used to identify real estate investment opportunities, including their risk profiles, while also overseeing the implementation of asset management initiatives. Prior to joining Sisu Advisors in May 2016, he held several analyst positions over a course of four years with DTZ, Clearbell Capital and Werner Capital.

Dan Walsgrove joins the BMO REP asset management team as a Retail Asset Manager, working on both the in-town and out of town retail portfolios. In his previous role as an Associate at LaSalle Investment Management, Walsgrove gained exposure to a diverse range of retail assets while being actively involved in the asset management of a nationwide retail portfolio. Experience at LaSalle included the formulation and implementation of asset strategies in addition to the analysis and acquisition of investment opportunities, driving value and meeting fund objectives. Walsgrove will report to Joanne Wilkes and George Cotton, who head up BMO REP's In and Out of Town Retail divisions, respectively.
