Vienna International Airport: 5.4% plus in passengers during February 2010
The number of passengers handled at Vienna International Airport rose by 5.4% year-on-year to 1,197,138 in February 2010.
Flight movements were 0.4% lower, while maximum take-off weight (MTOW) rose by 1.4 % and cargo by 25.7%. The number of local passengers increased 5.7% to 833,572, while transfer traffic rose by 4.8% in comparison with February 2009.
Passenger traffic to Eastern Europe (scheduled and charter flights) was 5.2% higher than in February of the prior year. The number of passengers travelling to destinations in Western Europe increased 5.3%. Traffic to the Middle East rose by 11.6% in February 2010.
