Valad lets 3,400 m² of office space to Gemalto
Valad has let 3,400 m² of office space to Gemalto, a worldwide provider of end-to-end security solutions, at the newly rebranded Ӓlvsjö 360 building in Stockholm. The letting was completed on behalf of Valad’s V+ Nordic 2 fund.
Located in Ӓlvsjö to the south west of Stockholm, Ӓlvsjö 360 is a 22,000 m² building of predominantly office space, which provides flexible space that can be designed to suit a variety of tenant uses. Gemalto will be the first tenant that Valad welcomes to the newly rebranded building, which has a further 15,000 m² of office space remaining available to let.
Frej Adolph, Valad’s Head of Asset Management in Sweden, commented: “We are delighted that Gemalto has decided to take space at Älvsjö 360, the first tenant to do so since the building was rebranded last year, and look forward to signing more tenants in the near future. Gemalto is exactly the type of tenant that we are looking to attract, making this a great result for the V+ Nordic fund and the local economy. In addition, the flexibility of the building layout allows us to complete the fit out quickly and efficiently with some work to be completed as the tenant moves in.”
Philippe Larpin, Global Facilities Manager at Gemalto, commented: “A variety of reasons led us to selecting Älvsjö 360 for our new offices including the building’s excellent location, the flexibility of the space and the responsiveness and professionalism of the landlord, Valad.”
Karl Henrik Lenneryd, from Jones Lang LaSalle, who advised Valad on the letting, said: “We are confident that further leases will be signed at Älvsjö 360 in the near future. The accommodation is perfectly suited to tenants who wish to customise the space to suit their own particular needs.”
Valad manages approximately €1.2 billion of assets in the Nordic region, comprising 200 properties and almost 2,000 tenants, managed by teams in Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
