Valad lets 17,000 sq m of office space at Copenhagen Business Park

Valad has completed five lettings totalling 17,215 sq m at Copenhagen Business Park in Denmark on behalf of the V+ Nordic Fund.

Valad signed two new leases, one for 340 sq m with Thorn Lighting, a manufacturer and distributor of light fittings, and another for 379 sq m with the toy company Mattel. Existing tenant and insurance provider, If Skadeforsikring, renewed its lease for 14,628 sq m, adding an extra 926 sq m, and two other existing occupiers moved into new accommodation at the same site. SKF Danmark, a ball bearing supplier, upgraded its current accommodation taking 1,386 sq m of space while HRG moved into 482 sq m.

Copenhagen Business Park is the largest office building in Denmark, providing 65,000 sq m of space over seven floors of offices, ground floor retail units and two levels of basement storage. The building’s tenant list of over 50 occupiers includes many leading international companies including Santander Bank, Specsavers, Mattel and Schüco. Located 10 minutes from the international airport and close to the commercial centre in Copenhagen, it has excellent links both nationally and internationally.

Mikael Fogemann, Head of Asset Management for Valad in the Nordics, said: “An important part of our role as asset managers for large multi-let buildings is to maintain close relationships with existing tenants so we can anticipate any changes in their accommodation requirements and then work with them to find a solution. At Copenhagen Business Park, this strategy has enabled us to relocate two tenants in the existing building and renew a large lease. We have also secured two new tenants and look forward to letting further space in the near future.” Valad manages approximately 1.2 billion Euros of assets in the Nordic region, comprising 200 properties and almost 2,000 tenants, managed by teams in Denmark, Sweden and Finland.
