“The Mall“ certified to ISO 14001:2004

“The Mall“ is the first retail scheme in Bulgaria to be awarded the globally recognized environmental management certificate of ISO 14001:2004. The standard implements process controls regarding the sustainable functioning of the retail complex. Thus, it aims to ensure “The Mall’s“ long-term compliance with international best practices and legislative requirements which is to contribute to its sustainable development. On a practical level, the ISO certification entails energy efficiency of the project, as well as minimization of waste generation and optimization of resources used.

“We believe that environmental and economic sustainability are interlinked, so for us the certification makes business sense”, comments Miltos Bossinis, Assets Director of Assos Capital.

“Each ISO certification is both recognition and a challenge. Now that we are committed to a strict environmental policy, it will be a priority to the management of “The Mall“ to enact on a daily basis the commitment to the sustainable operation of the trading center”, shared Frank Whiting of Colliers International, Shopping Center Manager at “The Mall“.

The certificate was awarded to Mr. Miltos Bossinis, Assets Director of Assos Capital, main investor in the project, by eng. Stefan Abadjiev, Managing Director of the certifying company GCS Bulgaria.
