Skanska invests €33m in the Green Day office project in Wroclaw
Skanska invests about €33m in the Green Day office project located in Wrocław. The total leasable area of the building will be about 16,000 m², with seven stories above ground level and two stories underground.
Construction is starting in the second quarter of 2012 and completion of the project is scheduled for the first quarter of 2014. Green Day is aiming for LEED Gold certification, featuring sustainable solutions to minimize the building’s impact on natural environment and significantly reduce its operating costs.
Green Day will be located in the city center of Wroclaw, where Skanska built the Grunwaldzki Center, which was acquired by RREEF [we reported]. Two ongoing LEED pre-certified office projects, Green Towers in Wroclaw [we reported], as well as Green Corner in Warsaw recently reached 95 percent occupancy level [we reported]. Green Towers has a total leasable area of 24,300 square meters and Green Corner has a total of 27,000 square meters.
