PWC leases additional space in Frankfurt's Tower 185
PwC AG (PricewaterhouseCoopers) has leased an additional two office floors with a total of approx. 2,800 m² of space in Tower 185. This means the amount of space leased out in this highrise building, which was completed at the end of 2011 / beginning of 2012, has now risen to around 75 percent. With this new rental agreement, PwC, the leading auditing and consulting firm in Germany, has now leased approximately 71,000 m² of office space in Tower 185, where it intends to bring all divisions of its Frankfurt location together. In December 2010 around 1,300 PwC employees moved into the plinth building at Tower 185. By April, another 1,300 workspaces will be located in the leased space within the tower. PwC has offices in a total of 28 cities in Germany.
Tower 185, which was designed in accordance with strict sustainability criteria by Prof. Christoph Mäckler Architekten, is Germany’s fourth tallest office building with a height of 200 metres. The building has around 100,000 m² of rental space. Now that the building has been finished, the LEED Gold certification process will be concluded. The global law firm Mayer Brown LLP will also be leasing space in the building.
Tower 185 is in a central location between the banking and trade fair districts on Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage and forms the entrance to the Frankfurt Europaviertel quarter, where CA Immo has already realised a number of properties itself as well as with partners and investors. As one of the final building blocks in the quarter, CA Immo has been working on the shopping and entertainment centre Skyline Plaza and the attached congress centre together with ECE Projektentwicklung (ECE Project Development) since June 2011. The complex is expected to open as early as autumn 2013. With around 180 shops, an international range of restaurants, a 9,000 m² wellness and fitness area and a 10,000 m² roof garden, Skyline Plaza rounds off the vibrant usage mix in the Europaviertel quarter.
