Poznań City Center in strong demand from retailers
Poznań City Center has received a high level of interest from retailers, with 25 tenants signing leases for the project over the last 30 days. The project, which is set to open in the fourth quarter of 2013, is already 55% leased to a roster of tenants including major local and international brands such as Toys’R’Us, Piotr i Paweł, Cubus, Rossmann, Douglas, Benetton, Puma and Nordsee. Advanced negotiations are currently being held with the remaining anchor retailers, with some expected to open their first stores in the city at the Poznań City Center development.
The Poznań City Center project, being developed by joint venture partners TriGranit Development Corporation, Europa Capital and Polskie Koleje Państwowe S.A, is a 250-million Euro investment of 150.000 sq. meters (GBA) and 60,000 sq. meters (GLA). This integrated transport hub and shopping centre, will include 250 retail units, a PKS coach terminal with 19 bus platforms as well as a park & ride car park facility for public transport commuters and 1,500 parking spaces. The Poznań Główny Railway Station, the first phase of the project, opened its doors for passengers on May 29. 2012.
