New names start summer of openings at Southgate Bath
Visitors to SouthGate Bath, the new shopping destination in the city, can look forward to a series of openings over the coming months featuring some of the most exciting names in retail and food.
The excitement begins with news that Urban Outfitters, Topshop/Topman, Currys PC World 2 in 1, River Island and Fat Face are the latest retailers to sign to the centre.
Their commitment to SouthGate Bath means that, including all the stores that have opened so far and the anchor store Debenhams (due to open in September 2010), more than 75 per cent of the total scheme is let – a remarkable achievement given some of the toughest conditions for the retail sector in living memory.
The four new names join a growing line up at SouthGate Bath that includes Sainsburys, Boots, New Look, Apple, Azendi, H&M, Animal, Kurt Geiger, O2, Game, Republic, All Saints, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Cult, Thoughts, tReds, Quiksilver and Timpsons.
News is also expected over the coming weeks concerning new signings that will bring a variety of restaurants and food outlets to SouthGate Bath.
Stuart Harris, Leasing Director from Multi Development, commented: “SouthGate Bath continues to attract great brands to Bath adding to an already exciting fashion line up. Many are new names to the City, while others are using SouthGate Bath to significantly extend and improve their offerings in the city. The brand profiles of our new retailers stand testament to our commitment to bring only the standard of retailers that Bath needs and deserves to SouthGate Bath.”
SouthGate Bath is a joint venture between Multi Development and Aviva Investments.
Joint letting agents are Strutt and Parker and DTZ.
