MGPA acquires KOMM Shopping Centre in Offenbach

MGPA has acquired the KOMM shopping centre from Hochtief Projektentwicklung , on behalf of a North American institutional investor.


The inner city shopping centre has a total of 21,750 sqm of lettable area and approximately 200 parking spaces of which an additional 425 parking spaces are located in the adjoining multi storey car park. Currently 96% of retail and 77% of office space is let.

The KOMM shopping centre offers 15,700 sqm of lettable area comprised over three levels of approximately 60 retail units and restaurants, of which 15,000 sqm are occupied. The centre offers a broad variety of retailers such as fashion, footwear, sports, accessories and multimedia as well as a department store, encompassing cosmetics and a pharmacy, household goods, toys and music. Everyday goods are covered by a large supermarket. Several restaurants complete the range of stores and products on offer.

The office and service space located on the third and fourth floors of the shopping centre, has a total lettable area of 6,200 sqm, and is leased to an architect, an engineering office, a gym, a physio therapist, two dentists and a dental laboratory. The KOMM shopping centre, located in Offenbach near Frankfurt am Main, was opened in September 2009 and connects the retail strips of the inner city of Offenbach.
