Mandarin Oriental to open a luxury resort in Bodrum

Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum, which is slated to open in 2014, will be located on a 60 hectare waterfront site on the northern side of the peninsula, at ‘Cennet Koyu’ or Paradise Bay. The resort’s 82 exclusive guestrooms and 20 suites will provide the largest accommodation in the area.

The development also includes 214 luxury private homes which will be branded and managed as Residences at Mandarin Oriental, providing a unique opportunity for ownership along the Turkish Riviera which is also known as the Turquoise Coast.

The owner and developer of the project is Astaş Real Estate Investments and Tourism A.Ş, advised by one of the world’s leading hospitality consultancies, Servotel Corporation. Renowned international hospitality design firm Wimberly Allison Tong and Goo (WATG), has been appointed as master planner and architect.

“We look forward to working with Mandarin Oriental on creating one of the most exclusive resorts in the Mediterranean region. The Turkish Riviera continues to grow in importance for upscale travellers and we are confident that this opening will significantly add to the area’s appeal. Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum will re-define the luxury holiday concept in the Mediterranean with its location, design and legendary service,” said Vedat Asçi, Chairman of Astaş Real Estate Investments and Tourism A.Ş.

Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum is located on the northern side of the Bodrum Peninsula on the Turkish Riviera. It is close to the charming waterfront village of Göltürkbükü, which has picturesque narrow streets, waterside restaurants and a peaceful bay. Göltürkbükü is also a popular stopover destination for the super yachts that sail along the Turkish-Mediterranean coast. The resort is a 45 minute drive from Milas-Bodrum airport and 30 minutes from the centre of Bodrum.
