International Development Secretary to open West Midlands care home extension

International Development Secretary and MP for Sutton Coldfield Andrew Mitchell is to open a new £2.5 million luxury extension at a leading West Midlands care home. Beech Hill Grange, in Wylde Green, Sutton Coldfield will increase from 36 rooms to 55 rooms when the new extension to its Beech Hill Road premises is officially opened on Friday, July 20.


It includes 19 new en-suite rooms, three of which have their own private gardens. Construction of the new extension has been carried out using state-of-the-art sustainable construction methods and materials. Energy-saving fittings and renewable and sustainable materials ensure high levels of environmental performance.

Beech Hill Grange, which is registered as a care home with nursing and dementia care for people aged 65 and over, was established more than 25 years ago.
