Hubertus Bäumer strengthens team at Union Investment Institutional Property GmbH
Union Investment Institutional Property GmbH is expanding its team for institutional real estate investors. As of the end of July 2012, Hubertus Bäumer (34) will be joining the Hamburg-based property fund manager’s team under managing director Dr. Christoph Schumacher. He will focus on product development, client acquisition and client relationship in the institutional fund sector.
Hubertus Bäumer was formerly employed by the Generali real estate group, where he was responsible for setting up and looking after indirect investments and developing fund products for the insurance group from 2008 onwards. Alongside his role as senior investment manager for real estate and infrastructure investments in Cologne and Milan, he was most recently managing director of Generali Immobilien Verwaltungs GmbH in Cologne and a member of the board of directors of Generali Europe Income Holding S.A., Luxembourg. Bäumer graduated in engineering from TU Dortmund University and also holds an MSc from Henley Business School at the University of Reading.
