H&M opens at Shopping City Sibiu
The global real estate consultant DTZ Echinox has mediated the leasing of a 1,554 m² unit at Shopping City Sibiu to the Swedish group Hennes&Mauritz, acting as advisor for the landlord. H&M will open in Sibiu the 17th unit of their retail chain in Romania. The store will be located within Shopping City’s comercial gallery.
We are pleased to announce the opening of H&M’s first store in Sibiu this autumn, at Shopping City. H&M’s presence in our shopping centre, reconfirms Shopping City Sibiu as the main retail destination in this region and one of most important shopping centers in Romania.” stated Graham Kilbane, COO at Argo Real Estate Opportunities Fund.
“H&M continue their expansion in Romania. After a presence of more than one year on the Romanian market, we are very satisfied with our results and we are glad to see that Romanian customers appreciate high quality fashion at most affordable prices. We are enthusiastic to open new stores in more Romanian cities, so that our products will be reachable throughout Romania”, stated Ewa Jarzemska, Marketing and PR Manager of H&M.
„The opening of the H&M store will add value and atractiveness to the tenant mix of Shopping City Sibiu. The expansion of the Swedish retailer also proves that the most important fashion retailers continue to capitalize the opportunities the local market is offering, and they continue to extend in succesful shopping centres from Romania.” commented Razvan Sin, Head of Retail Department at DTZ Echinox.
DTZ Echinox is today at its seventh collaboration with H&M. Over the last two years, DTZ Echinox has been involved as advisor to Anchor Group (Bucharest Mall, Plaza Romania), EMCT (Sun Plaza), K&S (Electroputere Parc), Atrium Centers (Atrium Center Arad) and Lotus Market (Lotus Center) for securing lease agreements with H&M accounting for a total of over 11,500 m² of retail space.
