Hegyvidék Centre to open next autumn
The building of the Hegyvidék Centre, Budapest’s first environment-conscious business centre, is proceeding according to plans, and the facility is expected to open to the general public in autumn 2012. According to the developer Wing Zrt, space has been let ahead of expectations at the sole commercial development launched this year, and despite the ongoing crisis, more than half of the available spaces have already found tenants. Tenants are e.g. OTP Bank, CBA Prima, Bortársaság, Brandt Virág, Culinaria Hegyvidék, the DR + Med pharmacy, Happy Box, the Happy Make Up cosmetic shop, Írisz Tisztítószalon, travel agency Travel Del Mar.
The primary aim of this family-oriented business and services centre, under construction on Apor Vilmos ter in Budapest’s district XII, is to fulfil demand for services among residents of the district. The new Hegyvidék Centre is built using environment-conscious solutions to meet existing demands, while taking the needs of the future into consideration. The strict international BREEAM trademark targets the “very good” classification. Rainwater and the building’s wastewater is used for sprinkling and flushing out toilets and auxiliary facilities. The building uses solar panels for the water supply. Bicycle sheds promote environment-friendly transport.
