Gazeley secures site at Herne

Gazeley areal Herne
Gazeley has agreed a deal with the Local Development Agency to secure a 30 acre site in North-Rhine-Westphalia. The site, which can accommodate buildings of up to 55,000 m² (591,800 sq.ft.), has direct access to the A42 motorway connecting Dortmund and Duisburg. Thanks to its central location, all destinations throughout the Ruhr metropolitan area can be reached in just 45 minutes. Furthermore, 2.5 million potential customers live within a 20 minute drive and a further 10 million are just an hour’s drive away.

Ingo Steves, Director of Gazeley Germany, comments: “Gazeley’s strategy is aimed at securing land in strong logistics locations which are close to the industrial clusters of Germany. This site is located within one of the densest road and rail networks in the country, meaning it is not only ideal for logistics in Germany, but also neighbouring countries Belgium and the Netherlands.”
