Euro Tower will be the new headquarters of Avon
DTZ Echinox assisted the international cosmetics company Avon to rent a space of 1,200 sq m on the Euro Tower building, developed by Cascade Group. Avon will occupy new premises starting June 15.
Located at the intersection between Barbu Vacarescu and Lacul Tei boulevards, Euro Tower is built on 19 floors plus ground floor and five levels of underground parking, with 180 places. The built surface is 18,000 sq m, of which 16,300 sq m lettable. Following Intenational Green Building certification system requirements, Euro Tower will have a roof area with trees and green spaces to relax. It also reduces space and heat loss. To sustain the environment, the building benefits from parking places for bicycles.
"We are glad that we have succeeded in proposing Avon a flexible and accessible accommodation solution, with extremely efficient energy consumption. Bucharest market already provides offices to Western standards for large corporations and we are happy to see that more and more of our clients choose responsibly when it comes to a new office location.
DTZ Research shows that most companies are willing to invest in rental costs more than 75% of the savings made on maintenance costs by choosing a green building. It thus demonstrates the responsible attitude towards the environment is synonymous with business success in the medium and long term." commented Mihnea Serbanescu General Manager of DTZ Echinox.
The total estimated office buildings stock to be delivered in 2010 is app. 280.000 sq m, out of which 68,000 sq m have already been delivered in Q1. The most important projects that are about to be launched in Bucharest this year include the 55.000 sq m Platinum Business & Convention Center, the 29.650 sq m Avrig Business Center, the first phase of Swann Office Park, with 21.695 sq m, Lakeview - 19.700 sq m, and Nusco Tower, a 17.000 sq m building.
