DTZ Echinox takes over the property management services for two new retail schemes
DTZ Echinox has been appointed by BelRom Real Estate to handle the property management of Severin Shopping Center and Botosani Shopping Center. With these two retail projects, DTZ enhances the size of their property management portfolio, adding to the existing major schemes: Shopping City Suceava and Shopping City Sibiu.
“Winning Severin and Botosani Shopping Center is a consequence of DTZ’s extensive experience in managing complex retail projects, but it is also a result of the close and successful relation with the BelRom Group on the leasing segment. With a total built area of 19,300 sq m, Severin Shopping Center is anchored by Carrefour hypermarket, Altex and the DIY operator Bricostore. The 7,100 sq m commercial gallery host over 17 shops, among which numerous local and international brands such as New Yorker, Deichmann, Leonardo, House of Art, Orsay, Mondex, Takko, Sensiblu Toyplex etc. The project was launched by Bel Rom Real Estate company in September 2010, being now the largest shopping center in the town of Turnu Severin.
Botosani Shopping Center is developed by BelRom Real Estate, one of the most active retail developers in Romania. The center has a total area of 22,031 sq m, out of which Carrefour hypermarket covers about 7,000 sq m. The project is scheduled to be delivered in two stages. The first part of the project has been launched on 15 November this year, including the hypermarket and a shopping gallery of the 5,600 sq m, 90% rented. The main anchors of the commercial center are Domo, New Yorker, Leonardo, Beauty Mania, Toyplex, Orsay. On the second phase, in 2012, commercial gallery will be extended by 4,000 sq m.
