Dechert LLP leases in Frankfurt’s Tower 185
CA Immo has concluded another lease for approximately 1,350 m² (14,531 ft²) of office space in Frankfurt’s Tower 185. The tenant is the international law firm Dechert LLP. It will be relocating its Frankfurt office, which only opened in 2012, to the highrise building. This lease agreement raises the occupancy of the recently completed building to around 81%.
Designed by Prof. Christoph Mäckler Architekten in observance of strict sustainability criteria, Tower 185 is Germany’s fourth-highest office building at a height of 200 metres (approx. 650 feet). The building has a total rental area of around 100,000 m² (1,076,391 ft²) and was one of the first new high-rise buildings in Europe to receive the renowned LEED Gold sustainability certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Other tenants in the building include, among others, the auditing and consulting firm PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) as well as the law firm Mayer Brown LLP.
Tower 185 is in a central location between the banking and trade fair districts on Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage and forms the entrance to the Frankfurter Europaviertel quarter, where CA Immo has already realised a number of properties itself as well as with partners and investors. As one of the final building blocks in the quarter, CA Immo has been working on the shopping and entertainment centre Skyline Plaza and the attached congress centre Kap Europa together with ECE Projektentwicklung (ECE Project Development) since June 2011.
