Crossrail and TMT growth drive significant early 2012 deals
LaSalle Investment Management (“LaSalle”) is celebrating two quick, early New Year deals totalling over 65,000 square feet at Farringdon Place, 20 Farringdon Road, EC1.
Nintendo, Unilever and Coca Cola creatives, Karma Communications Group - one of the UK’s fastest growing marketing communications agencies, is acquiring 32,184 sq ft on the first floor on a ten year lease, whilst AMEC Plc has signed on 33,225 sq ft on the second. The refurbished floors were only completed at the start of November.
Jones Lang LaSalle and Farebrother were letting agents with BDG Sparkes Porter acting for Karma Communications Group. Cushman & Wakefield advised AMEC PLC. Gary Player, Head of Business Space at LaSalle commented: “20 Farringdon Road is the largest and most prominent building adjacent to the new Eastern Crossrail Station. By 2018, the station will be a hub for an extra 1.5 million people within a 45 minute commute. Our Asset Management Strategy for the building has been the right one.”
Charles Watson Chairman of the Karma Communications Group added: "We are delighted to be moving into 20 Farringdon Road – the location will have some of the best transport links in London for our people and the space should create exactly the type of interactive environment we have been looking for to consolidate our various businesses.”
