Christie + Co debuts in Austria
Christie + Co opens its first office in Austria. The new office, located in the country’s capital Vienna, becomes Christie + Co’s 11th international office and will be managed by Lukas Hochedlinger.
Lukas previously worked as a Senior Adviser at KPMG BUD, supporting developers and investors with their projects in the Central Eastern Europe (CEE) and Commonwealth of Independent States regions.
Prior to this, he worked for two-and-half years as a Development Manager for a German hotel operator based in Hamburg. Lukas holds an MSc in Real Estate and an Austrian degree in tourism management. He is currently completing studies to become a Chartered Surveyor by the end of 2010.
From the office in Vienna, and in conjunction with Christie + Co’s German team, Lukas will focus on identifying opportunities across the hotel market in Austria and south east Europe.
Austria historically has strong links with the rest of south east Europe. The Austrian hotel market currently comprises 13,600 hotels of which approximately 85% are small to medium-sized – which is comparable to the hotel market structure in Germany.
