Beni Stabili signs agreement for an asset in L’Aquila
Beni Stabili Siiq has signed with INAIL (national Italian institute for the insurance against on-the-job injuries) a preliminary agreement for the disposal of an asset in L’Aquila, corso Federico II, which will safely host the Prefecture after the completion of the works aimed at upgrading the building from class n.3 to class n.4 of the earthquake-proof scale.
The disposal will take place after the upgrade activity for a total selling price of €20m (the price includes the book value of the asset as at 30 June 2012 and part of the costs for the adaptation and refurbishment works).
The asset has a total surface of around 6,000 m² and belongs to the “FIP” portfolio. With this transaction INAIL and Beni Stabili Siiq, in a non-profit point of view, take part to the revitalization of the historic inner city centre of L’Aquila with the reopening of the Prefecture offices in a building which is shielded from the overall seismic risk of the town. The closing is planned by the end of 2013.
