Bärbel Strauß joins C&W as Partner and Co-Head of Valuation & Advisory

Bärbel Strauß joins Cushman & Wakefield as Partner and Co-Head of Valuation & Advisory in Germany. The addition of Bärbel Strauß, who today joined global real advisor Cushman & Wakefield in Germany as Partner and Co-Head of Valuation & Advisory, completes the planned tripartite leadership team of the valuation department. The new Partner will take on the task of establishing, building and leading a residential real estate valuation team based in Berlin.


Strauß has concentrated on the valuation of large residential portfolios in recent years and led a residential valuation team at CBRE in Berlin. Prior to joining CBRE in 2005 she was a freelance consultant, among other topics, on real estate.

Cushman & Wakefield is planning to double the size of its currently 20-strong valuation team in Frankfurt and Berlin over the next two-to-three years and is seeking experienced managers as well as young talent. The firm is additionally making significant investment in technology and processes, to further increase efficiency and be able to offer clients even faster response times. In addition to being a Chartered Surveyor and a highly-experienced valuer, Bärbel Strauß also brings particular expertise in this area; in the implementation of IT tools, databanks and applications.

Ulf Buhlemann joined the leadership of C&W's valuation department as Partner and Member of the German Board on July 1st, 2012. Based in Berlin, together with Bärbel Strauß, also in Berlin, and Martin Belik in Frankfurt he will continue to further the expansion of the German team and its implementation in the global C&W valuation platform for national and international clients.
