Award for Horizon Plaza in Warsaw
The Horizon Plaza Office Complex, developed by IVG, has been crowned “Construction of the Year 2009” in Warsaw. The prize for best office building of the year was awarded by the Polish Association of Construction Engineers in cooperation with the Ministry of Construction and the General Inspector of Building Control (GUNB). Horizon Plaza, opened in mid-2009, is considered the most state-of-the-art office building in the country, with outstanding ratings for sustainability and energy efficiency.
The ensemble, consisting of eleven and seven floors with a total of 32,700 m² of office space and 3,200 m² of retail and storage space in the Mokotow District, a few minutes' drive from Okecie Airport, was designed by the international architects J.S.K from Frankfurt and was acquired by Union Investment Real Estate GmbH in April 2010 for €102 million. This is also the biggest property transaction of the year to date. The occupancy rate is over 90%.
