Aareal Bank AG: Marija Korsch to succeed Wolf R. Thiel

Marija Korsch has been appointed to the Supervisory Board of Aareal Bank AG. The Wiesbaden local court (Amtsgericht Wiesbaden) approved an application to this effect, submitted by the Management Board of Aareal Bank AG. She will succeed Wolf R. Thiel, who has retired from the Supervisory Board after having served as a Member for ten years.

Marija Korsch has more than 35 years experience in international banking. Her career included senior positions with Vereins- und Westbank AG, with Bankers Trust in Germany and the USA, and as a partner at German private bank Bankhaus Metzler seel. Sohn & Co. Holding AG, where she was responsible for the bank's Corporate Finance business. Since leaving Metzler in 2008, Ms Korsch has served on several Supervisory Boards and Advisory Boards.
